This was a beautiful custom shower involving glass chevrons with stone shelves, ceramic tile above marble, with stone benches and marble hexagons on the floor. There was a lot of planning and the results show off that attention to detail I bring.
This client needed a shower redone because the waterproofing was incorrect. I restored his master suite after removing the improper build. The whole wall tiled around the window is a grand touch.
This was an update to a condo in the Fieldstone Farms neighborhood of Franklin. The client now has a beautiful and spacious stand up shower instead of the crowded fiberglass insert the builder installed.
This custom backsplash is in Franklin Just outside Peytonsville, the vertical run pattern accentuates the tall 12′ ceilings in the kitchen and the bold nature of the copper insert makes for a great focal piece.
One of my favorite large format tile installations i did in Detroit, involving 5ftx2.5ft tiles, backlighting in the niche a linear drain and a heated floor.
I installed this glass tile with the subway/brick pattern in detroit, in a house that was almost 100 years old.

This is how I Prep, Waterproof, and Install tile showers:

The walls are shimmed out to plumb and GoBoard is installed and waterproofed. The Flofx drain is attached to the plumbing.
Concrete is mixed and sloped to the drain. I use concrete because I am skilled in its use and I can easily take on custom shower shapes.
After the concrete cures, I adhere a waterproof membrane to the concrete and walls. Then an overnight flood-test is performed.
Once the flood-test has been passed, I tile the floor and grout it so that it can cure overnight.
Then the walls/niche/accents are added to the project, and grouted in.
Final step is to get approval from the client and their 160lb mountain dog.
